MAJOR PURCHASES/EQUIPMENT RENTAL

With parental permission, students may charge major purchases to their personal accounts. These purchases may include, but are not limited to: sports equipment, musical instruments, winter gear, transportation. Recommended spending limits are outlined in the enrollment forms. Additionally, the mandatory LAS ski jacket will be charged directly to the student’s personal account.

CAMPUS STORE/eSTORE

The LAS Campus Store offers materials and services (e.g., supplies, uniforms) charged to the student’s account if funds are available. Online purchases can be made via the eStore. LAS recommends a budget of 1,000 CHF for supplies and 500 CHF for uniforms annually.

SIM CARDS

SIM cards are distributed by the Campus Store during orientation. All students receive a LAS SIM card with the SALT Premium plan (CHF 65/month) offering unlimited calls, SMS, and data in Switzerland and Europe. Unless otherwise specified by August 31, this plan is applied by default. Please note that additional fees apply for usage outside the EU zone.

An upgrade to the SALT Executive plan (CHF 140/month) is available for added travel benefits. For plan changes, contact Mr. Andaloro at campus-store@las.ch.

Returning students should keep their SIM cards, which are paused from July 1 to August 15 unless activation is requested. Non-returning students do not need to return their cards. Lost cards incur a CHF 40 fee, and early cancellations a CHF 150 fee.

WITHDRAWALS – FINANCIAL POLICY

If a student leaves LAS before the end of the academic year, a refund of CHF 500 per full month missed will be issued for room and board, unless there are extenuating circumstances. In cases where LAS requires a student's withdrawal due to behavior or other reasons deemed harmful to the community, the same refund policy applies. There are no refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or non-participation in school trips. Please note that final account statements for mid-year departures may take up to three months to process.
